Happy February 1st! Astrology has been a lifelong interest turned into a passion of mine. Completing my yoga teacher training in 2019 reignited my love for astrology, numerology and spirituality during one of the modules. I’ve immersed myself with learning as much as I can since! I now do chart readings (natal, current transits, solar return and progressed moon) and offer mentorship for those who want to learn more about Astrology as a tool for understanding themselves more! Now let’s get into some of the big events happening in February before reading your Horoscope!
FEBRUARY 2021 ASTROLOGICAL EVENTS
Feb 1st - Venus enters Aquarius
The planet of love and beauty enters the air sign Aquarius. Venus rules how we love, what we love and what we deem to be beautiful. It also rules how we are in our feminine energy and relationships! With it being in Aquarius that means that we will feel kind and loving. We will want to help others and give what we can. However, air can be detached (thinking/head over heart) so your actions won’t necessarily have an emotional attachment. It‘s a good time to reflect on different relationships in your life without emotions. More from a logical Aquarian perspective.
Feb 11th - New Moon in Aquarius
The new moon in Aquarius helps you set new goals for your future. How do you want to give to your community? How do you want to be supported by your community? What are your hopes and dreams? What does the future world like to you? Remember you can think big like an Aquarius with out-of-the-box ideas.
Feb 17th - Saturn in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus
A square in astrology means challenging. So Saturn, the planet of karma and discipline, in air sign Aquarius is challenging Uranus, the planet of sudden change, in earth sign Taurus. Why do I mention the elements? First, think about how air and earth are different. Earth wants structure, consistency, dependability and air is more forward-thinking, wants change and cares about connecting people. Aquarian air is humanitarian and if you think of the state of the world right now it is not working and it doesn’t seem like organizations and the government care about people at all. This is not right and by following astrology and the planets you’ll see that a lot of old structures in the world are being dismantled. This square is powerful and happens again this year on June 14th and Dec 24th. My recommendation would be to protect your energy on these days, especially if you are an empath, you may intensely feel the collective energy.
Feb 18th - Sun enters Pisces
Dreamy Pisces season is here. Winter is almost over and Spring is coming! This is a mystical time of the year seeing as Neptune rules Pisces.
Feb 20th - Mercury Direct in Aquarius
Mercury went retrograde on January 30th. Now that the planet is direct hopefully we experience less tech and communication mixed signals. Have you heard of the shadow period of Mercury retrograde? After the planet goes direct it’s said that it still takes about 2 weeks for us to feel “normal” again. Continue to watch your energy and protect your digital files as if we were still in Mercury retrograde for about 2 more weeks.
Feb 25th - Venus enters Pisces
The planet of love and beauty is now in dreamy water sign Pisces. Now we are in a season of feeling and potentially having deep empathy for the things around us. Pisces love love so now is the time to use your heart intuitively!
Feb 26th - Jupiter in Aquarius Trine True Node in Gemini
Trines in astrology mean harmony. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, in air sign Aquarius trines our true node in air sign Gemini. Gemini’s love to learn and study and have endless curiosity. Take the day to expand on learning something important to you.
Feb 27th - Full Moon in Virgo
The Full Moon in Virgo marks the full expression of your intuitive and spiritual journey. Review what progress you've made since the Virgo New Moon in September. Is there room for growth? Virgo is practical while Pisces is Spiritual. True opposites. But, how can you use this energy to create more practical ways of expressing your spirituality into your daily routines? Hint: It might include meditating, journaling or walking practices.
HOW TO READ YOUR HOROSCOPE FOR GUIDANCE AND INSIGHT
I recommend reading your Sun Sign Zodiac Horoscope as you normally would and then read your Rising Sign Horoscope. Sometimes your Rising Sign is more accurate because it represents where your natal chart starts and how the planets are moving through it. For example, I am a Gemini with a Cancer Rising. When I was reading my horoscope last month for Gemini it said something about planets moving through my Capricorn 8th house. However, if you look at my chart Capricorn starts off my 7th house because I am a Cancer Rising. So, the planets were affecting the 7th house not 8th house as the horoscope said. Hopefully, that makes sense and I’ve encouraged you to read your Rising Sign. If you don’t know what your Rising Sign is, it is determined by the exact moment of your birth and is the starting point aka ASC of your natal chart. It represents your souls, what you are rising into in this life and how you may be perceived by others (your appearance.)
ARIES
Aries, you experienced pushing energy in 2020. Now that Mars has left your sign it will leave you alone. 2021 overall will be easier for you. In 2021, you can expect to feel like an Aries again. Your energy is coming back! There is a lot of Air energy this year that will focus you on work or money. Take the time during the Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius to reflect and imagine what you want your future to look like.
TAURUS
Taurus, this year you will be forced to change something, this is not particularly your favourite thing to do. The planet Uranus, currently stationed in Taurus, is sitting right on top of you. It will not be an effortless year. With the Mercury Retrograde this month in Aquarius squaring you, challenges may appear. Potential conflicts may arise but remember to keep your cool. If you are feeling restless right now remember that change is something you can do and it does not have to be drastic for it to be important.
GEMINI
Gemini, overall you have a wonderful year ahead! Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius are trining you! However, with Mercury, your ruling planet going retrograde in Aquarius this month until the 20th, notice during this reflection period where you need to let something go that is harming you!
CANCER
Cancer, right now you are coming out of different times. For a while now, all those planets in Capricorn have been opposite to you, potentially challenging you! While Mars is in Taurus Jan-March, you can feel yourself releasing the pressure. However, don't forget what you learned in 2019/2020. During the Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius, you are allowed to go inward, mourn any losses. Let yourself feel. Read, write poems, listen to music!
LEO
This year Jupiter and Saturn are opposite you all year! Motivation and discipline are recurring themes you'll feel. Study yourself and remember to tap into your creativity. It's the perfect year to set goals because of the momentum you're feeling. This is the first time in 12 years you've had this opposition energy from Jupiter (the planet of expansion). Get ready to expand Leo especially this month in terms of your career, public image and relationships!
VIRGO
Uranus in Taurus is trining you all year. You've had lots of movement from the Capricorn energy in the last few years. You have a hard-working cycle coming your way now. It may feel consistent and demanding but you are here to serve. Your mantra is "I trust myself."
LIBRA
Libra, Mars has finally left Aries, your opposite. You should feel a little less pressure now. Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius are trining you all year! You may, however, be feeling cautiously optimistic but still follow your artistic flow. You might be wanting to flip or change your mind on something. Try to hold off during this Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius and maybe plan and consult with the right individuals before changing anything up!
SCORPIO
Scorpio, this year is supposed to be challenging for you! Jupiter and Saturn are squaring you which will bring up some challenges. At the beginning of the year, Mars is in Taurus, opposite you, and Uranus in Taurus is opposite you all year long. Self-Love is your theme of the year. Be mindful of any anger that surfaces and practice mindfulness.
SAGITTARIUS
Sagittarius, your energy is coming back but work and responsibilities are your themes this month. Since Mercury is Retrograde in Aquarius, try to balance any work and home demands. A simple schedule might be very helpful for you.
CAPRICORN
Capricorn, settling into newness won't feel good until the end of February! This year you should feel less pressure as so many planets have moved out of your sign. Your need for a structure might be conflicting with the need for an adventure this month. There are a lot of planets in Aquarius right now which may be pushing you to make impulsive decisions. You normally wouldn’t allow yourself to indulge but you deserve to enjoy yourself!
AQUARIUS
Happy Birthday!! It’s your season so embrace it, and accept the change that is coming as a collective! As we have entered the Age of Aquarius, now is your time to dream! What do you envision in the long term? What do you want to change? In February, you will feel the momentum! What does this mean? It is your time to make the change. Jupiter and Saturn are supporting you this year! Remember to stay on task and use your creativity.
PISCES
Mid-month, once the Sun moves into Pisces, and then when Venus moves into Pisces on the 25th, you’ll feel so at home! However, Pisces, Neptune is on your sun. What does this mean? You might be in a dreamland which is home for you but you may also be unfocused. When Mars enters Taurus at the beginning of the year, you're going to experience relief. This is the perfect year for you to study astrology and other woo-woo things you love so much! All of the Aquarius energy is supporting you dearly.
